Privacy Policy for Unity of Tulsa, Midtown, a 501(c)(3) religious non-profit in Tulsa, Oklahoma

    Welcome to Unity of Tulsa Midtown. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard the data you provide to us. By interacting with our church, you agree to the terms described below.

 

  1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It –
    We collect the following types of information in the following ways when you engage with our church

  • Connect Cards – when you submit a connect card during the service, you provide your name, address and a phone number. You can choose the exact information that you want to give us.  

  • Emails – when you give us your email address during the service or via our website, you have the option to choose to receive our weekly newsletter and/or to receive church texts. 

  • Phone numbers – when you give us your phone number during the service or via our website, you have the option to choose to receive a call back from the Minister or from one of our Prayer Partners. 

  • Video and photos – We livestream the Sunday service on YouTube. None of your personal information is given out during the livestream.This service is for those who are unable to attend due to illness. The purpose of the livestream is to provide uplifting music and the Sunday message.  

  • Content you post – if you post a photo or image on our Facebook, Instagram, or via email, you understand that it will be visible online as our social media accounts are public.  

  • Offerings – We collect offerings and tithes during Sunday services. The purpose of those offerings is to allow the church to continue providing uplifting Sunday services, to provide coffee and snacks, to provide classes and workshops, and to continue paying the utility bills, and to pay our employees. During the collection of those tithes and offerings, you have the option to provide your information. All of your information is private and confidential. 

 

  1. Purpose for Collecting and Using Your Information –
    We use your information for the following purposes: 

  • Member Management: to manage and operate our church effectively

  • Giving of tithes and offerings within the church and in the greater community

  • Engagement: to actively respond to and interact with you

  • Analytics: to make sure that our newsletters and livestream are active and are reaching the public for whom it is intended

 

  1. Sharing Your Information –
    We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties.

 

  1. Your Choices –

  • Profile Privacy: our website, youtube channel, and other social media accounts are publicly visible and publicly searchable. 

  • Content Control: you have the right to delete any posts you make on our social media platforms. You also have the ability to sit in a space where the cameras during live streaming will not capture a likeness of you. Ushers can direct you to the section of the sanctuary where you can sit if this is a choice for you. 

  • Information Control: you have the option to give us your financial information for the action of processing your tithe or offering. You have the right to use any form of payment that you choose, including but not limited to cash and credit cards

  • Prayer Requests: We respect your privacy and will not give your information to anyone outside of the church. The prayer team is available to pray with you. Private anonymous prayer requests can be made in the prayer box each Sunday. 

  • Phone Calls and Direct Messages: Your information is private and confidential and will not be given to anyone outside of our congregation unless required by law.

    We take reasonable measures to protect you and your personal information from unauthorized access, loss or misuse. However, remember that no website, channel or online platform is entirely secure.
